ABclonal is looking for an enthusiastic outgoing Field Sales Specialist with a scientific background. The Field Sales Specialist is responsible for the growth of revenue through proactive sales of our products in the assigned accounts and developing strong customer relations according to the organizational strategy. The Field Sales Specialist works with customers to ensure a smooth sales process and frequently visits the area of service s/he manages. The job requires meeting new prospects in their work environment and outside sales will comprise the main part of sales activities. This position is a hybrid position. Over half of the time requires you to travel to assigned client sites or events, and the rest of the time will be working from home.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop new business leads and manage existing relationships to achieve sales goals for the assigned accounts/territory
  • Build customer relationships that enhance our position and profitability
  • Conduct sales development best practices with email, phone, and social drips using enablement
  • Utilize prospecting and research tools to connect new leads and qualify opportunities
  • Perform all sales activities, from quotation to after-sales services
  • Strategize with team members to innovate and improve the overall inside sales process
  • Work within the sales team and collaborate with other internal departments
  • Exercise administrative responsibility for required reports to management and entries into Salesforce
  • Frequent client visits within the territory will be required

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • B.S. in biology or life sciences, advanced degrees accepted
  • Door to door sales experience is preferred
  • 1-3 years of business development or sales experience in selling life sciences research reagents or equipment
  • Ability to interface with customer counterparts, and build customer loyalty
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, organizational, and planning skills
  • Strong work ethic with confidence to work autonomously
  • Passion for sales, and be a self-starter
  • Highly motivated to succeed both individually and with a young and fast-growing company

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Salesforce is a plus
  • Experience in biomedical, biotech is preferred

Physical requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
